[On the evening of the ninth, Leo makes his way to Aymeric's office with a tray of dinner for them both.]

Aymeric?

[As usual, Aymeric is working but looks a bit more tired. However, it doesn't seem like much has been completed and more than likely will not with the arrival of his husband. His expression went from tired to relief in less than a second and realizing the time. Shit.]

I was not expecting such a surprise.

[brynwieldr]

You never do.

[He nods towards the desk--make room, silly.]

It's just something I ordered on the Near Shore, but it's food.

[Well he prefers his lap but he can clear some of the papers and put them away for now. He can feel his stomach groan because he forgot to eat. Well, not since the morning.]

It is the thought that counts. Besides, I enjoy the company much more.

[brynwieldr]

[Leo chuckles, setting the tray down. It's just German food from a place Leo likes in Frankfurt, but.]

I'm sure. I haven't seen you since this morning, you know.

I was hoping to get some work done but alas, my mind seems to be wandering today.

[Wandering minds suck for workaholics.]

May I ask why?

I...keep thinking about what was said at the gathering with Lady Suijin involving the cultists. There was some matters discussed but it feels as if there were more questions raised than answers given.

[brynwieldr]

Remind me what was said. I didn't go--didn't make sense to, not when I'd be lost the entire time.

There were several topics discussed, including how we have arrived, those dolls, and even the two children gods who were spotted in the forest and Western District respectively.

[And he will explain about the history and not to mention the idea of those dolls and this weird crystal found in the compound.]

But there is something else that was discussed but not confirmed: someone or a group is bringing in new gods and shinki but it seems that another force is sending them away to other realms. There is also the matter of the dolls not found during the river celebration but whole and untouched.

[During Aymeric's explanation, Leo starts eating. By the time he's done talking, though, Leo's stopped to pay more attention.]

So we're here thanks to one group of people, but another group of people is responsible for sending people home? Is that it?

That is the theory. But the dolls found at the Compound still worry me. When Ginia tried to remove hers, she described an extreme pain throughout her body and her vessel form vanishing according to Master Ebisu.

It worries me because the dolls I had spotted there were of those I hold dear still in this realm. Goten, Kairi...and you.

[brynwieldr]

[Leo reaches for Aymeric's hand.]

I'm fine, Aymeric. I'm right here, and so are Kairi and Goten.

But for how long?

[He grips Leo's hand tightly.]

...I tried to see if there was a mistake but I checked for their temples and names. Emizel and Estinien are no longer here. I cannot help but wonder who will be next.

[And how much can his heart take before it feels smashed? He didn't have to deal with it so much back home but now?]

It won't be me, Aymeric. I promise.

How can you be sure?

[brynwieldr]

[He turns lifts his free hand so Aymeric can see his ring.]

Because if I were to vanish and go home, I would be going to Eorzea.

Would it even be possible?

[If that is the case, would they remember each other? Would they know what happened?]

If there is some sense of hope...I would want us to go together.

I introduce myself as Leo de Borel, Aymeric. It's possible, even if I have to break some laws of physics to make it so.

[He would laugh but then realize how true it would be. Leo will do it and then all of Eorzea would be fucked.]

In a heartbeat. You know, I wrote "Leo de Borel" on the receipt for our dinner? Not "Leo Nohr", like I had been.

[He chuckles because that in itself must be a big deal for Leo.]

And how did that make you feel?
